Williams Adley is pleased to announce that as of March 2018, Sal P. Ercolano, Jr., has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. Mr. Ercolano is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
After graduating from Loyola University in Maryland, Mr. Ercolano worked at two international accounting firms, PWC and KPMG, and then joined CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP (CLA, formerly Clifton Gunderson, LLP) in 1990, retiring from CLA in December 2017. For over 20 years of his CLA career, Mr. Ercolano specialized in providing professional accounting, audit, and business advisory services to Federal government agencies. He was promoted to Partner at CLA in 1996, the first promotion since the firm began specializing in the Federal government industry. During his career at CLA, Mr. Ercolano helped the firm expand its practice in this industry, leading several teams that provided services to a variety of Federal government agencies. Such agencies included the Department of Treasury, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Transportation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Science Foundation, and various component divisions of the Department of Defense.
Mr. Ercolano stays current with industry matters through active participation in the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), where he was previously a representative on the Corporate Partner Advisory Group, the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA), and the Maryland Association of Public Accountants (MACPA).
