As Managing Partner of Williams Adley, Kola works diligently to help the firm’s government clients meet their financial management objectives in a challenging environment defined by regulatory compliance and cost reduction requirements. Kola, as visionary, sets the strategic direction for the firm and guides employees towards the accomplishment of company and personal goals. He joined Williams Adley in 1992 and began his trajectory toward partnership which he achieved in 1997 after only 5 years with the firm. Prior to devoting his professional career to Williams Adley, Kola served three years as auditor for the State of Tennessee which prepared him well for government service.

Kola’s accomplishments within the federal arena earned him a three-year appointment to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s Subcommittee on Federal Auditing and Accounting Standards. He served as a member of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs’ Committee on Federal Auditing and Accounting Issues and applied his expertise in international accounting as a board member of the International Consortium of Government Financial Managers. For his efforts as an insightful and impactful leader whose goal is to improve clients’ businesses in the most significant way possible, he was awarded SmartCEO’s CPA Industry Practice Leader Award in 2015.

Kola obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Alabama A&M University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Tennessee State University. Most recently he earned certification from Harvard University’s Executive Leadership Program. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the District of Columbia and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Kola stays current with industry matters through active participation in the Association of Government Accountants, the American Society of Military Comptrollers, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, and the National Association of Black Accountants.
