Q: What was your first job?

A: While living in Dallas, Texas, my first job was selling men’s shirts, ties and suits in a local department store when I was 16. I enjoyed matching colors and clothing to the personalities of the clients.

Q: What do you believe brings clients to Williams Adley?

A: Clients come to Williams Adley not only for the skills and credentials our staff possess, but more importantly for the relationship we bring to the engagement. We try very hard to ensure that when we recommend someone in a proposal, or they have worked on a job previously, those same individuals come back to work with the clients again.

Q: How do you keep a competitive edge?

A: In my role as Director of Client Services I try to reassure our clients that there are several avenues for communication. If the technical personnel are busy on site, I am always available to help respond to our clients’ needs. While overseeing our proposals, I ensure that our past performances are stellar. We win new business not only by our competitive prices, but also by our excellent past performance.

Q: Name one of your talents that benefits clients most.

A: My outgoing personality puts people at ease while discussing a range of topics. I am able to help foster a cooperative environment between individuals with diverse personalities, unique skills and a wide-range of expertise. Providing that non-technical perspective allows our clients to open up to me and share their thoughts about our engagements. This allows me the opportunity to provide unbiased feedback, not only to our clients but also to our staff.

Q: How do you spend your time outside of the office?

A: I spend my time outside the office with my three wonderful children. Between my kids, my husband and our very large dog, I am constantly on the go. I try and maintain that wonderful work-life balance, and Williams Adley allows me to telecommute several times a week, which allows me to be available for my children, while also maintaining a hectic job. My favorite alone-time activity is a walk to a nearby lake with my dog and enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature.

Q: What quote or saying guides your professional and/or personal life?

A: My father always told me to try my best. If I didn’t succeed as I had hoped, well, at least I tried my best. And when I do succeed, I should be proud of that hard work. I also believe that “it takes a village”. Very few things in life can be accomplished alone.
