Q: What was your first job?

A:  After completing my college degree overseas, I got a position as an Articled Clerk (audit trainee) with a Chartered Accountant firm. The job was unpaid and the firm paid me a small monthly stipend to cover travel expenses. During three years with the firm, I developed some auditing skills and familiarized myself with how to operate in a corporate environment.

Q: What do you believe brings clients to Williams Adley?

A: The talent, expertise, and experience that the associates at Williams Adley possess. Over the years, Williams Adley has earned its reputation because of the capability of our workforce and the quality of work that we deliver that consistently exceeds clients' expectations.

Q:  How do you keep a competitive edge?

A: I keep abreast of the latest updates in accounting standards through reading, attending CPE seminars, and having discussions with my peers. When communicating with my colleagues and clients, I try my best to positively apply their feedback towards achieving my goals.

Q: Name one of your talents that benefits clients most.

A: While analytical skills are one of the talents that I possess and am proud of, I realized a long time ago that automation has started dominating the accounting industry. As a result of my observation, I changed my strategy accordingly and started focusing on attaining new techniques and tools. For example, I learned how to write code and develop databases so that I could achieve my work more effectively and efficiently by minimizing manual intervention. My experience has taught me that clients like to see results quickly, accurately, and in a clearly formatted report that communicates what they are looking for and assists them in planning for their future goals and objectives.

Q: How do you spend your time outside of the office?

A: I like to spend my time outside of the office mostly with my wife and four children. I also deeply appreciate spending time with the families of my nine brothers and sisters and their more than twenty five kids! We all enjoy going out dining and watching movies together. I also love to travel and so far have been to eleven countries and am looking forward to visiting some more.

Q: What quote or saying guides your professional and/or personal life?

A: "Wealth of knowledge cannot be lost or stolen but wealth in the shape of money could." I learned that when I was a kid and still firmly believe in it.
